The Makati Hope Christian School’s Preschool Curriculum was conceived with the child as the core of our program. We believe that children are active learners – constructing their own understanding of the world around them. We offer learning that is rooted in developmentally appropriate experiences geared specifically to each preschool level, both for the English and the Chinese curriculum.

The ultimate goal of our early childhood program is to produce confident, competent, and caring young beings, grounded in Christian faith and values. Focus is centered on the whole child and his total development – physical, cognitive, psychosocial and emotional growth. Each child is observed and progress is recorded according to the learning competencies per domain. Individual strengths, interests, and needs of each child are taken into consideration in implementing the curriculum to make learning more meaningful and relevant.

Our curriculum is thematic based with integration of subjects for the pre-nursery to kindergarten 1 levels. Central theme for each level is:

Nursery - My Family and I
Kinder 1 - My Family & Community

Our Kinder 2 curriculum offers a blend of both the traditional and progressive approach to prepare the child for his entry to the primary level.

More cooperative learning, hands-on exploratory activities and guided discoveries are being experienced to develop critical thinking skills that will aid the child’s success in the coming levels.

Learning the Chinese language is made more interesting with our interactive Chinese CD for kids, the first of its kind. This new technological tool was developed based on our curriculum to help bring the Chinese language home. It guides the children as they study the lessons on their own using interactive games to make learning more fun and exciting for them.
