Welcome to Makati Hope Christian School

Makati Hope Christian School, a private and non-sectarian educational institution, established in 1985. In addition to the curriculum prescribed by Department of Education, it offers Chinese Language Arts, Computer Courses, Accounting and Bible subjects. English is used as the medium of instruction except in Filipino and Chinese Language Art classes. As a Christian school, it aims to instill Christian values to young minds. Its curriculum aims to develop a well-rounded personality. Each student is provided with learning experiences that enable him to grow spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially.

MHCS New Principal

Upon the recommendation of the school director, Dr. Wilfred U. Tiu, the Board of Trustees appointed Rev. Dr. Leonides T. Son as the Principal of Makati Hope Christian School effective January 2010. Dr. Son holds a Ph.D degree in Educational Leadership and Management from the De La Salle University and is an ordained minister.

New School Building

The school has already embarked on the construction of a new six-storey building which will be completed in 3 phases. The foundations were completed over the Christmas vacation last year. Full construction activity will resume this March 12, after the last exam. By the opening of the new school year in June 2010, there will be a new third floor on top of the current wooden building. In 2011 (Phase 2) the new 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th floors will be completed. And by 2012 (Phase 3) the 6th floor with a new gym and multi-purpose hall will be completed

Outstanding Student Award

We praise God and congratulate senior student, Harvey Nicol Chua, for garnering the 17th Outstanding Filipino Chinese Student Award sponsored by the Aishin Foundation. He is among 12 winners coming from Chinese-Filipino schools from all over the Philippines. The awarding will be on February 27.

25th Anniversary Celebration

In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Makati Hope Christian School, the Spring Concert, featuring "STAR CHILD" which was originally written by Oscar Wilde and adapted into a musical play will be performed on February 20, Saturday, 3:00pm (Matinee) and 7:00 (Gala) at the Center Stage, Mall of Asia. Jaime del Mundo is the Creative Director and Darlene Hernandez Yu, the Musical Director. Tickets are available at the school's Business Office.

First MHCS Alumni Reunion

All MHCS alumni are invited to attend the FIRST MHCS ALUMNI REUNION to be held at the school on February 27, Saturday, 6:00PM. Tickets at P500 are available at the Administration Office. See Jerelyn Lim or call 817-1111, local 204.

Students who graduated from high school, elementary or preschool in 2007 are requested to claim their graduation yearbook, Dunamis 2007, from the Administration Office immediately. Please share information to batchmates.
